Dear Fia, What are you, exactly?
NewsRelease
Fia is here, for your cycle and your pelvic floor
Fia guides your kegels, tracks your period and suggests food for your week, on your iPhone. No account, no ads. What’s in it, and what’s free.

Fia is a kegel trainer and a period tracker in one app, made by SideSwipe Labs. It came to the App Store on October 14, and it keeps what you log on your iPhone.
We made it because the apps people trust with their most private health data so often share it. Of the 23 most popular women’s health apps in one review, 20 shared user data with third parties Alfawzan et al., 2022. Fia has no server to send yours to.
Your pelvic floor, guided
Fia’s kegel journey grows from five minutes a day in week 1 to fifteen by week 12. A figure shows each lift, hold and let-go, and a timer counts every second. Spoken cues are there if you want them, and Fia checks in with you at the start, halfway and at the end.
On a day you log cramps, pain or low energy, the session eases off: shorter holds, longer rests. Pregnancy, the weeks after birth and menopause each have their own six-week journey. New to kegels? Start with how to do a kegel, step by step.
Your cycle, as a range of days
Log your period, mood, energy and how your body feels in a few taps. Fia shows your next period as the days it could start on, and says which cycles that’s based on. Why a range, and not a date explains how it works.
On hormonal contraception, Fia shows bleed days only. The fertile window is an estimate, never birth control.
Your cycle record is free: cycle and period lengths, how they compare with the usual ranges, and a one-page PDF summary for your doctor. Your logs export as a PDF or CSV.

Today, on day 8: where you are in your cycle, the days your next period could start on, and today’s practice.
Every stage
Pregnancy, the weeks after birth, perimenopause and menopause each change what Fia offers. In pregnancy and the first 12 weeks after birth, forceful breathing and breath holds stay out of your sessions. After birth, a mood check includes support lines for your region. In perimenopause and menopause, you can log hot flashes and night sweats and learn skills for them from menopause CBT.
Food for the week you’re in
40 recipes for your phase or stage, each with a line on why it fits today. Ayurvedic ideas are labeled traditional, not health advice, and Fia sells no supplements.
Your people, if you want them
Share a summary of your cycle with up to five people you invite, and choose what each one sees. They can answer when you ask for a heat pack or some space, or send a heart with a few words. It goes from your iCloud to theirs, never through SideSwipe Labs, and you can pause or stop at any time. Sharing is for 18 and over.
Private by design
Fia has no account, no ads and no analytics, and doesn’t count your screens or taps. Your logs stay on your device. Sync to your own iCloud is off until you turn it on, and so is Apple Health. App Lock asks for Face ID or Touch ID each time Fia opens, and Discreet Mode uses plain words, even in notifications. What “Data Not Collected” means goes through it all.
What’s free
Free: cycle tracking, every log, your cycle record and export, weeks 1 to 4 of the kegel journey, short sessions, four guided breathing exercises, all the recipes, the journal, sharing, Discreet Mode and App Lock.
Fia Plus adds weeks 5 to 12, more workouts, the pranayama sessions, the advanced and traditional programs, more routines you build, and your trends past this week. It’s a monthly plan, a yearly plan or a one-time Lifetime purchase, and the App Store shows the price where you are.
Fia needs iOS 18 or later, and the Apple Watch app needs watchOS 11 or later.
