This policy is for consumers in Washington, Nevada and Connecticut. It covers Fia, and SideSwipe Labs Private Limited, who make it.
Categories we collect, and why
In the app. What you log in Fia, and what Fia works out from it, stays on your iPhone or iPad, and goes to your own iCloud only if you turn on sync:
- Your periods, cycle and flow, and tests you log
- Symptoms, mood, energy and sleep
- Sex, in the private log
- Birth control, its reminders, and the pills you mark as taken
- Trying for a baby
- Pregnancy, its ending, birth, and your answers to the checks after birth
- Menopause
- Pelvic floor practice, and your answers before it
- Food, water and your journal
- What Fia works out from these, such as your next period, your phase and patterns in your logs
Fia uses it only to give you its features, such as your forecasts, reminders, practice, summaries and exports. SideSwipe Labs can’t read it.
From you to us. Health details you choose to put in an email to us, or in a partner report. We use them only to answer you, or to look into the report and keep partner sharing safe.

- The people you share with: their answers and hearts, and any words they add

Categories we share
Fia sends only what you choose to send to the people you invite through partner sharing: a summary of your cycle (your cycle day and phase, a forecast of your next period, a heads-up before it, and a fertile window estimate if you turn it on), your check-ins (your energy, your feelings and a note), and your asks. It goes from your iCloud to theirs, never through SideSwipe Labs. What you save to Apple Health, export or back up goes only where you choose.
SideSwipe Labs doesn’t share or sell consumer health data.
Third parties and affiliates
- We share consumer health data with no third parties and no affiliates.
- No third party collects consumer health data through Fia or dearfia.com, on any site or app, or over time. Neither has analytics, ads or trackers.
- Apple holds your iCloud and Apple Health data under its own terms with you. Zoho Mail, our email provider, holds the emails and reports you send us, for us.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Confirm whether we collect, share or sell your consumer health data, and show it to you, with a list of anyone we’ve shared it with
- Delete it
- Stop collecting or sharing it, by withdrawing your consent
Write to fia@sideswipelabs.com with “Consumer health data” in the subject. What’s on your device or in your iCloud is out of our reach, so use Fia for it: Export my data shows it, and Delete all data deletes it.
We answer within 45 days. If we need longer, up to 45 days more, we tell you why within the first 45. If we turn a request down, you can appeal by replying “Appeal”. We answer an appeal within 45 days, and if we still turn it down, you can complain to your state’s Attorney General: Washington, Nevada or Connecticut.
